About Trinity UMC

Our mission is simple: to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. As a local congregation we believe that discipleship begins in relationships. Hummelstown is a small community in the shadows of Hershey and Harrisburg, Pa. We are only minutes from "the sweetest place on earth", the governing seat of Pennsylvania, and a thriving medical research and education college: Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Although we have a strong, 175-year presence in our community, we are seeking to expand into Fresh Expressions of Christian Community. In the past few years, the Holy Spirit has breathed new life into our congregation. Our simple discipleship plan is to Love, Learn, Live, and Lead. Each step organically moves from Worship to Education to Service to Leadership. Focusing on the second component of this plan, we believe special emphasis needs placed on creating opportunities for connection. Our vision is that through these relationships, small groups and otherwise, we will bring hope to the hurting to re-write stories one life at a time. This new position is about fostering those connections.
