Creative Arts Pastor

Abundant Life is looking for a Creative Arts Pastor that will create an atmosphere conducive to experience the presence of God in worship and technical excellence with a focus on equipping and training volunteers. The Creative Arts Pastor is responsible to lead teams over the live production and online worship experience and must understand and have extensive experience in video, lighting, projection, presentation software, audio, web streaming and media. The Creative Arts Pastor also recruits, trains, schedules volunteers and produces services, special events including but not limited to weddings and funerals.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

Provide leadership and oversight to all system support (audio, video, production and lighting) for the weekend experience and that volunteers are fully engaged and communicated to.
Create an online worship environment in which people can encounter God and experience the Holy Spirit, free of technological distractions.

Minister to people online, create connection and community, foster engagement, and disciple people digitally.

Help bring ideas to life with relevant and inspiring content that will promote the vision and values of Christ Church through multiple media platforms. Ensure assets are synced across all ministry areas.

Foster a creative culture of care and acceptance. Lead, evaluate, and mentor volunteers as part of the creative team.
Balance production and creativity within church culture, context, and relationships.

Service Production:

Work with the Executive Pastor of Programing to coordinate the planning process for weekend services (various areas) and other assigned events to develop and execute workflows, checklists, and “run downs” for both Wednesday and Sunday services and special events.

Work with team of staff and volunteers to produce weekly live stream of services, with emphasis on the Online Campus experience for prayer and follow-up

Coordinate with designated outside vendors for all graphics needed for weekend services and other assigned events

Implement all technical and design elements of the weekly services and assigned events. Ensure all service transitions are planned and well executed.

Complete and properly distribute the production script for all services and events.

Liaison with ministry communicators to develop messaging schedule and content for weekly services.

Oversee communications team to ensure digital media is updated with timely content, through social media and website, working with outside vendors as needed.

Team Development:

Develop all Creative Arts Teams within Abundant Life to include worship, production, and communications.

Work closely with the pastoral team and Creative Arts Team to develop themes and integrate the various creative elements into a cohesive message that supports the sermon series and other vital areas of church life (e.g. conferences, weddings, funerals, etc.)

Recruit, train, and encourage and ensure the spiritual care of all teams.

Educate and develop the team both technically and spiritually, providing coaching and mentoring to direct reports on an ongoing basis.

Communicate goals to staff and volunteers, delegate tasks, and evaluate progress regularly.

Develop and disciple a team of assistants to lead various ministries.

Oversee application/interview of new volunteers for Worship & Creative Arts Teams

Administrative Leadership:

Manage annual budget and weekly purchases to stay within the confines of the annual budget.

Manage outside agencies/resources that can implement strategies for a wide range of platforms

Coordinate daily workflow for the department, maintaining appropriate routines and procedures.

Oversee recruitment, initiation, ongoing training and spiritual development (participation in ALI classes, attendance to weekly services) of all Creative Arts staff and volunteers.

Ministerial:

Perform sacerdotal duties to include:

Water Baptism – conduct water baptism service and be the minister in the tank to baptize candidates.

Communion – conduct and serve communion to the congregation.

Spiritual Guidance – Assist with personal, family, and emergencies, and complete counseling forms.

Work Schedule: Full-time Salaried, Sunday – Thursday schedule. Evenings and weekends required.
