Position Summary: Overseeing a robust ministry of worship arts, leading worship teams that usher people into God’s presence and help grow disciples learning to cultivate a life of worship 24/7. Currently responsible for leading contemporary and oversight of the traditional worship forms, building up children and youth to be worship leaders, while incorporating drama, worship dance and other creative elements. Providing other occasional special services including weddings, funerals and prayer and worship services which include worship styles that connect with today’s generations.

Qualifications: • Committed and growing relationship with Jesus Christ • Enthusiastic, Vibrant, Innovative Leader • Excellent vocalist and instrumentalist, and the ability to lead from a primary instrument • Experience with planning worship sets and leading rehearsals • Experience with building teams and rehearsing • The ability to read music (preferable) • Experience working with modern technology and systems to include In-ear monitor and click track • Excellence in communicating • Ability to improvise on the spot when technical issues that may arise Position Expectations: • Primary Sunday morning worship leader • Cultivate a Pastor’s heart for teams and volunteers • Primary worship leader for holiday services (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Good Friday) and occasional special services (Weddings, Funerals, Prayer Services) • Lead weekly rehearsal in preparation for Sunday mornings and additional rehearsal for holiday services • Bi-Weekly staff meetings and weekly Worship Design team planning meetings • Work with the children and youth pastor’s to develop worship in those ministry areas • Desiring at least a 3 year commitment to this ministry position • Willingness to grow in leadership through discipleship development • Willingness to take direction and be a team player • Willing to live out Grace United Methodist Church’s mission and vision found at gracegnv.org Worship Style: Contemporary and Traditional

Education Required: College desired (experience most important)

Pay to Relocate: Negotiable based on experience
