Announcement for an Associate Pastor of Worship and Ministry
UEFC is currently seeking a full-time Associate Pastor of Worship and Ministry. The ideal candidate for this position will be motivated and gifted in leading worship. The primary role will be that of the “producer” of the Sunday morning worship service. Although the first several months in this position will necessitate full-time attention, this position will eventually assist in the area of pastoral care. Other possible areas of assistance could include witnessing ministry, adult discipleship or ministry development- dependent upon the giftedness and passions of the candidate.
The United Evangelical Free Church (UEFC) of Klamath Falls, Oregon is a body of believers whose stated mission is, “To reach the unsaved; and to equip and deploy transformed Christians through whom Jesus can effectively make himself known to our world.” We are a member of the Evangelical Free Church of America with a Sunday morning worship service of about 175 people.
We describe our current worship vision as “contemporary-blended.” We are a multi-generational congregation with multiple worship teams of differing worship styles that fit both younger and older attendees. As the “producer” of the worship service, the candidate will be asked to lead worship as well as disciple and release the worship teams to guide the congregation in theologically sound, sincere and consistent worship of God. Musical giftedness and training are required for this role.
Gifts in the areas of leadership and relational pastoral care will be essential in this role. Identifying any additional areas of ministry responsibility will occur after the successful candidate has been in service for several months. We trust that God will be faithful to help us all discern the right individual He calls to fill the position.
