The Junior High Pastor / Middle School Pastor works to foster spiritual growth and provide discipleship opportunities for students in middle school and/or junior high. As a visionary leader, the Junior High Pastor will endeavor to grow junior high youth ministries within the framework of the church's vision and values by providing oversight and direction to the junior high youth staff, adult volunteers, and junior highers and/or middle schoolers. This includes leadership of weekly programs and periodic special events (camps, conferences, trips, service projects, and more.) The Junior High Pastor usually works under the direction of the Youth Pastor or the Next Gen Pastor. The person who fills the job of Jr. High Pastor must be skilled at coordinating missions, activities, Bible studies, and more for middle schoolers and/or junior highers.
