Job Description

I. General Qualifications

A.       Must Fulfill Biblical Qualifications

1.        Must be called by God to work with youth.

2.        Must be a person with high spiritual and moral values.

3.        Must have genuine love and concern for young people.

B.        Must Fulfill Qualifications Set out by the Church.

II.        Responsibilities

A.       Work a Minimum of 10 Hours a Week

B.        Responsible for the Youth Sunday School Department. 

C.        Responsible for Youth Ministry

D.       Responsible for at Least One or Two Activities per Month

III.      Compensation - Salary will be set and reviewed by the appropriate body annually.

We are looking for a self-motivated hard worker who wants to see the youth group (and by extension) the church grow. If though we are a small church, we have a very nice facility. We have both a beautiful sanctuary and a fully functional Family Life Center that is fabulous for Youth Events!

The candidate we are looking for will either have some college experience or working on a degree. Jacksonville, TX is the home of the state's only privately owned Junior College - Jacksonville College. Jacksonville, TX is also the home of the Baptist Missionary Association of America Theological Seminary. Almost all of our youth ministers have either taken classes in one or the other or received their degrees.

AGBC is looking for a bi-vocational youth minister to help us do just that. We are a small church looking to grow with the right minister. Our Youth Department has tremendous potential.
