Youth Pastor
Job Description
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
● Create and maintain mission and vision for Junior High and High School
Youth Ministries.
o Communicate a clear mission and vision known by students, parents, leaders, and the church.
● Connect with and equip students, parents, and leaders.
o Plan events, retreats, mission trips, and other opportunities for students to connect with each other and God.
o Disciple students through small groups, external connection points, and practical application through service.
o Identify, train, and develop leaders to disciple, connect, and serve students.
o Connect and partner with parents through consistent communication and support in building the home.
● Provide effective and relevant biblical teaching.
o Prepare biblically-based messages with illustrations that connect with the students, and preach them at the weekly youth service.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
● Execute excellent ministry as a Pastor of Living Waters Church by counseling, preaching, and being involved in the essentials of discipleship, such as leading people to salvation, small groups, community outreach, and basic church maintenance.
Qualifications
We are seeking a team player with leadership skills, spiritual maturity, and a burning passion to make Jesus known through teaching the Bible, building relationships, and creating opportunities to win 11-18 year olds to Christ, building them in their faith, and training them to do the same.
Applicants must be down to earth, ready to work hard and ready to have fun. Willing to train up applicants with a heart for serving the youth of our community, who are passionate about Jesus, and making disciples.
