The Opportunity: Local Outreach Pastor
As our Local Outreach Pastor, you won’t just lead events—you’ll shape a movement. You’ll have the opportunity to expand existing outreach ministries and dream up new ways to love our neighbors in the name of Jesus. From one-on-one relationships to large-scale initiatives, you’ll serve as a catalyst for gospel impact across our region.
Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Vision & Strategy
- Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to cast and clarify a compelling vision for local outreach.
- Design and implement strategies to mobilize the church into the surrounding community.
2. Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Build and nurture relationships with local organizations, schools, and city leaders.
- Understand community needs and connect them with church resources and gifts.
3. Volunteer Mobilization & Team Building
- Recruit, equip, and inspire teams for outreach ministries (e.g., ESL, Love MV, Drive-Thru Prayer, school partnerships).
- Identify and disciple volunteer leaders to multiply impact.
4. Evangelism & Discipleship Integration
- Lead efforts that both meet practical needs and point people to Jesus.
- Create onramps for people to engage in spiritual conversations and invitations to church life.
5. Organizational Leadership
- Manage the Local Outreach budget with wisdom and stewardship.
- Participate actively in pastoral staff meetings, retreats, and church-wide initiatives.

What You Bring
Must-Haves
- Bachelor's degree
- Ministry experience in outreach and missions
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- A heart for evangelism and practical compassion
- Ability to cultivate meaningful relationships and partnerships
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience developing and scaling outreach programs
- Bilingual or experience in multicultural ministry
- Previous church staff experience

Compensation & Next Steps
This is a full-time pastoral role (40–50 hours/week) with a competitive salary and generous benefits package, commensurate with experience.
