Demonstrates strong biblical knowledge and the ability to communicate God’s Word in a way that informs and inspires.
Thinks creatively and deeply about designing discipleship strategies.
Communicates effectively with youth, families, volunteers, and staff.
Has experience in recruiting and developing worship team members as musicians and as followers of Jesus.
Learns quickly and utilizes new technology in creative ways to reach and disciple youth, families, and leaders.
Is hard working, self-starting, and organized.
Is self-aware, eager to grow and learn as a follower of Jesus and a leader of people.
Works well with teams, including staff and volunteers.
Embraces and embodies the mission and values of Crossroads.

Key Roles:

Work with youth leadership team to create a safe and engaging environment for students (5^th-12^th grade) one evening per week that helps them develop into fully devoted followers of Christ.
Cast a vision for Christ-centered discipleship for youth and families that is rooted in Crossroads’ mission and values.
Identify and train volunteer leaders to invest relationally in the lives of students and families.
Build relationships with youth leadership team and develop them as followers of Jesus and leaders of youth.
Empower students to serve the church and local community.
Select and implement curriculum for youth in collaboration with Kids Ministry Director and Pastor of Discipleship.
Oversee communication and scheduling for key volunteers.
Assist in the development and oversight of the student ministries budget and the proper use of ministry funds.
Employ unique gifts to serve Crossroads beyond Next Gen leadership as needed and available (to be determined with Executive Pastor).
