Outreach Specialist

TITLE: OUTREACH SPECIALIST REPORTS TO: OUTREACH TEAM LEADER

           Full-Time/Exempt/Salary

PURPOSE:

The Outreach Specialist's primary focus is to support the Outreach Team, GSV Team, and the God-Sized vision. The Outreach Specialist is committed to cross-cultural collaboration with many contacts.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

The Outreach Specialist is directly accountable for following all official and functional procedures and policies of Christian Life Center and is expected to engage in cooperative actions and relationships with the staff and congregation. On occasion, you may not agree with the philosophy or procedure used, but loyalty and support of the Lead Pastor and the rest of the staff is essential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

As an integral member of the Outreach Team, you will work collaboratively to ensure the development of a church culture that empowers leaders and actively demonstrates care for all individuals. This is accomplished through supporting the ongoing development and implementation in these ways:

• Use your enablement and tenacity to get projects and tasks completed.
• Cross-train, back up, and share responsibilities as needed with the Outreach Project Coordinator (Need to be administratively gifted, Proficient in Excel, Budgeting experience)
• Assist with coordinating, leading, and manning all church outreach events
• Volunteer Engagement - effectively galvanize by recruiting, training, developing and empowering volunteers
• Follow up with volunteer interest requests as appropriate
• Coordinate monthly Outreach Events, including events for partnership churches and other organizations/ministries we support.
• Act as a liaison between staff, congregants, and outside partner agencies
