• Create a weekend experience by developing quality worship services, worship leaders and worshipers who look forward to next week.
• Champion excellence in our weekend services
• To magnify the greatness of God in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit by skillfully combining God's Word with music, thereby motivating the gathered church to proclaim the gospel, to cherish God's presence, and to live for God's glory.
• To create an atmosphere and attitude of joyful worship in the lives of God's people by facilitating a Christ-centered, engaging, and creative worship experience.
Relationships:
• Directly responsible to the Senior Pastor
• Member of the pastoral team
• A servant/leader, who takes good care of your relationship with Jesus Christ, your spouse, your children and then the church.
Personal Responsibilities
• Actively pursue an intimate, personal relationship with God in word, prayer and deed.
• Lead and minister to spouse and children as your primary responsibility
Worship Leader Job Description and Responsibilities
1. Provide leadership, vision, and passion for Horizon Community Church in music worship ministries that is in line with the overall vision, purpose and mission of our church.
2. Lead two well-planned and engaging Sunday morning worship services.
• Leading the Sunday Worship services and recruiting and developing the worship team and scheduling vocalists.
• Responsibilities include preparation for and leading rehearsals, as well as consulting with the Pastor to coordinate the music for the Sunday services.
3. Manage the Planning Center system for scheduling band & events (people, song choices, chord charts, etc.)
• Equip those who desire to serve in the worship ministry. Provide training in all the technical areas of ministry.
• Arranging, writing, practicing, and recording, harmony parts, set list formation.
• Provide oversight and maintenance for all CCLI/copyright issues.
4. Creative Team Monthly strategy sessions.
• Production of Sunday services in coordination with Pastors message series or special events Calendar planning for community outreach and mission events.
• Stage Design.
5. Develop and administer an annual budget for the worship ministry in accordance with the financial policies of the church.
6. Attend a weekly staff meeting with the Pastor and participate in the planning and implementation of church programs that will fulfill the mission and vision of the church.
• work in coordination with the video and media director for Sunday morning and special events.
7. Assist in planning, implementing and leading worship for special events outside of Sunday worship services.
8. Work in coordination with the Lodi Campus Pastor for worship support/needs
9. Attendance at weekly staff meetings
Qualifications
More concerned with a passion for worship than a degree on a wall.
Experience in leading worship in a multi-generational setting.
Can play an instrument, guitar/piano
Is able to lead a band
Work with singers and instrument players

The church is 29 years old and I have been here as senior pastor for going on 28 of those years. Every Church is unique in it's own way. One is not better than another, Horizon is just different.
*We are casual in dress (I speak in shorts and a Harley shirt)
*We will preach on every subject and will not shy away from telling the truth of what the bibles teaches on all things.
