Worship Pastor

  The Worship Leader will lead the music ministry of the church in a way that glorifies God and edifies the congregation. This includes leading worship services, rehearsals, and training and developing volunteer musicians.

Responsibilities:

•  Lead congregational worship services with vocal and instrumental music.
• Prepare and plan music for each service, including selecting songs, arranging music, and leading rehearsals.
• Develop and train a team of volunteer musicians to assist with leading worship services.
• Maintain the digital music library, including updating and organizing sheet music and recordings.
• Collaborate with the pastoral staff to ensure that the music ministry is aligned with the overall vision and mission of the church.
• Communicate regularly with the church community about upcoming events, music selections, and other relevant information related to the music ministry.
• Attend staff meetings, planning sessions, and other church events as necessary.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Qualifications:

• A committed follower of Jesus Christ who is passionate about worshiping God through music.
• A skilled vocalist and instrumentalist (either guitar or keys) with experience leading worship services.
•  Strong organizational and administrative skills, including the ability to manage a team of volunteers and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to integrate well into the church community and build strong relationships with church members.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to lead rehearsals, communicate with team members, and provide clear direction during worship services.
• Familiarity with a wide range of worship music styles and the ability to incorporate them into worship services in a way that is engaging and meaningful to the congregation.
• Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced and dynamic ministry environment.
