Location/ Affiliation The Abbot Evangelical Free Church (AEFC) is located in Abbot, Maine, in southern Piscataquis County.  Abbot is a small, rural community.  Piscataquis County is located in central Maine and covers an area of 3,770 square miles, with a population of approximately 17,000.  Most of the population resides in the southern part of the county.  AEFC is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America.  It is locally controlled, congregationally ruled, and led by a board of elders. Demographics AEFC draws people from many surrounding towns, and the congregation is made up of people from a variety of church and theological backgrounds.  The church is representative of the county in that it is predominantly white, and blue collar.
