About Christians United Church Church

Non-denominational Under 100 people

Christians United Church is searching for a new Pastor to lead us into the future.

About the Church:

Christians United Church (CUC) is a diverse, non-denominational protestant church located on the east side of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Even though we are a small congregation we are active with a vibrant Women’s ministry, a growing Men’s ministry and a missional, drive through food pantry that serves 80 to 100 families a month. Our attendance averages 30 people for our Sunday morning worship service, but over 90% of this group serves the church in one or more ways. CUC has a large social media following that averages over a 100 per week.

For more information, see the CUC website: cucindy.org

Qualifications:

We are seeking a bi-vocational or retired pastor who believes and teaches that the Bible is the infallible Word of God, in the Holy Trinity, and that Christ Jesus was born and crucified for our salvation to lead us into the future, grow the church within the community, and work to empower our congregation to expand our youth attendance and programs, as we serve God. We are searching for a pastor who has a seminary or Bible college degree and has sufficient experience to be able to counsel, teach, and lead a church in our understanding of the Bible as well as lead the church’s growth. We believe that the person God will lead to CUC will have a Pastor’s heart, knows God’s Word, lives God’s Word, teaches and preaches God’s Word, and is genuine. This person will be a good communicator, a strong leader who is not afraid to stand and defend the Word of God, who can follow through with plans, and is seasoned enough to know and to have lived God’s word, but is not too rigid in dogma, as long as it does not contradict the Word of God. (see website for additional information on believes and what the church teaches)
