The Communications Director creates, organizes, plans, and implements effective communication messages and strategies for the church and with church ministry leaders. The Communications Director is in charge of internal and external communication within a church and often serves as a spokesperson and media contact for the organization. The Communications Director could be responsible for the following communication areas in the church or organization: print production, marketing and advertising, photography, video production, and website management. The person who fills the job of Communications Director must be a team-oriented self-starter with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple projects at once, and provide leadership in communication.
