The Family Pastor is the advocate for the generations of the church. The Family Pastor oversees the structures and atmosphere of the church to ensure that the family of God is working together to make disciples of the next generation. Direct reports may include the Children's Pastor, Youth Pastor, College / Next Gen Pastor, and more. The Family Pastor builds and strengthens family relationships by offering spiritual guidance, counseling, outreach, and education to family members. The Pastor of Family Ministry must encourage and equip parents in their role as primary disciplers of their children. The person who fills the job of the Family Pastor must be a team-oriented self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage multiple leaders and provide leadership in family ministry.
