A Children's Pastor job includes managing all aspects of the children's ministry for children from birth through elementary. A Children's Pastor provides leadership, vision, and direction for the entire program. The Children's Pastor job also involves hiring and overseeing paid staff, recruiting and managing a team of volunteers, choosing and/or developing curriculum for various children's ministry programs, and ensuring a safe environment for all children in the children's ministry program. The person who fills the job of Children's Pastor must have an understanding of child spiritual development, effective educational practices, and how to lead a team of adults in children's ministry.
